LOTUS P1 PRIMER

Lotus P1 Primer is a low viscosity product that enhances adhesion on porous surfaces. It's ideal for surfaces like concrete, stucco, brick, wood, OSB, plywood, plaster, sheetrock, backerboard, and metal. It's noted for its easy application, cost-effectiveness, and strong resistance to all weather conditions. It's also transparent and water-resistant, making it a versatile primer.

USAGE

Lotus P1 Primer is designed to enhance the adhesion of high solids products on porous substrates. Its usage is recommended on a variety of surfaces including concrete, stucco, brick, wood, OSB, plywood, plaster, sheetrock, backerboard, and metal.

COVERAGE

Consumption is between 0.100 to 0.200 g/m^2 depending on the level of absorbency of the surface. The exact coverage will depend on the substrate conditions.

APPLICATION

• The application surface needs to be dry, clean, and hard. It should be free from dirt, oil, dust, and paint.
• Depending on the absorbency of the surface, application could be done in two layers with a drying time of 2-3 hours between layers.
• Do not apply in enclosed areas due to solvent scent. The product is flammable, so avoid proximity to flames, and do not smoke during application. Application should be done in open or well-ventilated areas.

WEATHER

• The product shows high resistance to all weather conditions, with a functional range between -30˚C and +120˚C.
• It is resistant to moisture and direct sunlight.
• Application should not take place in areas with extreme temperatures.
• The surface temperature for application should be above +5˚C.

SEALING AND CURING

• The dry time between applying multiple layers is 2-3 hours.
• Tack-free time is between 4-9 hours.

LOTUS B2 BASE COAT

Lotus B2 Base Coat, a premium liquid-applied, elastic membrane, provides long-lasting waterproofing. The coat exhibits excellent resistance properties against mechanical, chemical, thermal, UV, and natural elements. It's suitable for various applications, including roofs, rooftop decks, garages, foundations, balconies, and green roofs. Its high reflectivity contributes to thermal insulation, and it maintains mechanical properties across a wide temperature range.

USAGE

Lotus B2 Base Coat can be used for the waterproofing of roofs, rooftop decks, garages, foundations, balconies, terraces, and verandas, as well as wet areas like bathrooms, walk-in showers, kitchens, etc. It's also used for waterproofing pedestrian and vehicular traffic decks, green roofs, flowerbeds, planter boxes, and for protecting foam insulation.

COVERAGE

• For standard usage, the coverage is 1.20 kg/m2 after applying Lotus PR1 Primer at 0.20 kg/m2.
• For powerful usage, the coverage is 1.70 kg/m2 after applying Lotus PR1 Primer at 0.20 kg/m2.

These coverage rates are based on application by roller onto a smooth surface in optimum conditions. Factors like surface porosity, temperature, and application method can alter consumption.

APPLICATION

• Keep the product at room temperature for 24 hours before application for the best results.
• Mix until the mixture is homogeneous before application.
• The application area should be clean and dry with no dust, dirt, soil, or grease. Loose chippings should be removed and holes should be caulked with M501 mastic.
• Apply with a roller, squeegee, or quality spray machines.
• Use Lotus vertical base coat for vertical surfaces to avoid sagging.
• It forms a skin after 45 minutes and becomes completely waterproof. A second layer can be installed after 3-4 hours.
• Use Lotus T3 top coat max for comprehensive over 20-year warranty systems as well as pedestrian and vehicle traffic areas.

WEATHER

• The product maintains its mechanical properties over a temperature span of -40 ˚C to +90 ˚C.
• Application should be performed under normal temperature and humidity conditions. Extremely cold weather will prolong the curing time.
• The storage temperature should be between +5˚C and +30˚C.

SEALING AND CURING

• The product forms a skin after about 45 minutes of application, rendering it waterproof.
• A second layer can be applied after 3-4 hours.
• It fully cures in 24 hours.
• Cold weather and humidity will affect curing times: the colder the weather, the longer the curing time.

COLORS

Lotus B2 Base Coat is supplied in white and light grey. However, it's mentioned that other colors may be supplied on demand.

LOTUS T3 TOP COAT MAX

Lotus T3 Top Coat Max, a solvent-based Aliphatic coating, is used as a top protective layer over exposed waterproofing coatings. It's highly resistant to UV radiation, abrasion, foot and vehicle traffic, and it provides a glossy, easy-to-clean surface. It has strong adhesion to PU waterproof coatings and is suitable for use on various materials such as stone, marble, wood, and metals.

USAGE

Lotus T3 Top Coat Max, one-component, solvent-based aliphatic coating, is used as a top coat for protection over exposed waterproofing coating. It can be applied to various surfaces including waterproofing materials, industrial floor coverings, building materials such as stone, marble, wood, and metals like iron, steel, aluminum. It's also used on doors and window casings.

COVERAGE

Consumption is between 0.200 to 0.300 g/m^2 per layer, and it's recommended to apply 2 coats, which would mean a total of 0.400 to 0.600 g/m^2. This would vary depending on the substrate conditions and application method.

APPLICATION

• The surface should be dry, clean, and hard. It should be free from dirt, oil, dust, and paint.
• A two-coat application is recommended with a drying time of minimum 8 hours to maximum 24 hours between coats.

Do not apply in enclosed areas due to solvent scent. The product is flammable, so avoid proximity to flames, and do not smoke during application. Application should be done in open or well-ventilated areas.

Lotus T3 Top Coat Max is available in white and gray. There is an option to order this top coat in any other color as desired.

CAUTIONS

Lotus products should be stored in a dry and cool room for up to 12 months, protected from moisture and direct sunlight. Improper storage can potentially affect the product performance.

• The products are flammable, hence they should not be used near an open flame and smoking is not advised during their application.
• The application of these products should not be done in closed areas due to the solvent scent. They should be applied in open areas or well-ventilated spaces.
• Protective clothing, gloves, and eye shields should be worn during application to prevent direct contact with the skin.
• In case of contact with the skin, it is advised to wash with soap and water.
• Empty packages should not be used for the storage of food or nutriment.

MAINTENANCE

The maintenance for Lotus products appears to be quite minimal.
